Sam Weber, Lord of The Flies

William Golding’s Lord of The Flies, illustrated by Brooklyn based Sam Weber. A classic story with contemporary illustration. Illustrations done with the darkness and vulnerability that the story deserves and not to mention they are so  beautifully satisfying. Shame the copy I had at school (below) wasn’t quite so bold. Although defaced I still think it’s a sweet cover, I don’t think I’d go defacing Sam Weber’s edition though.

Just back from a wonderful trip in the snowy Italian Alps, so easing myself back into normality..booooo. Here’s a film by French street artist WK Interact bringing NBA player for the Miami Heat Dwyane Wade to life on the streets of Manhattan. Enjoy.

Pringle by David Shrigley

This is brilliant and highly recommend taking the 3 minute 10 seconds out of your busy life to enjoy this animation. Luxury knitwear Pringle commissioned David Shrigley to create a humorous animation about life behind-the-scenes at Pringle to celebrate the brands return to Milan Fashion Week. I love the voice over and all the subtle humour within the illustration.

The ABC of Branding

Using no ink whatsoever, these 18″x24″ posters are foil stamped and embossed to create an alphabet composed of letters from many of the more famous (and some infamous) logos of all time. Printed in two different colorways, you have the choice of silver foil on black paper or gold foil on cream, both stocks are 100 lb. French Pop-Tone and are individually stamped, signed and numbered.
