Sunshine and Shadow

Here is the excited SS2010 collection by New York based  Sunshine and Shadow.

Christmas Markets

Like it or not Christmas is just round the corner and if you are anything like myself you leave everything to the last minute. So instead of buying your presents from newly opened Urban Outfitter (lets face it, everyone and their dog will be head to foot in their over priced clobber, I am pleased it has opened though!!) if you are in Edinburgh this weekend there are a few markets which might inspire you to buy that wee special one off gift.

Out of the Blue Drill Hall on Dalmeny Street in Leith is holding a Christmas fair this Saturday,5th and the 12th and 13th of December with unique artwork, jewellery, photography, fashion, furniture and textiles. The fair is on from Friday to Sunday 11am -7pm and a small entry fee of 80p!

Lydia Cywinski of Wee Bird Boutique will be there this Saturday ONLY, selling her beautiful range of handmade jewellery so make sure you get down there. Lydia uses sterling silver and felt in her jewellery and all the pieces are perfect for everyday wear, meaning you can show it off every day of the week! Below are a few images of what to expect, starting with my favorite!

You can find a range of jewellery at Wee Bird Boutique’s ETSY page where you can buy and contact Lydia Cywinski.

Once you have bought yourself some silverware and artwork then I’m sure you will be very hungry so head up to the Assembly Rooms on George Street where Foodies Christmas Festival is being held(Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th 10am – 6pm). There will be demonstrations by local Chefs, farmers market and LOADS of sample tasters, always a plus!

Aswell as all that there will be a chance to buy Pete Hewitt’s handmade wooden chopping boards, which make a perfect Christmas present.

…If you have a few extra grand in the bank he does stunning bespoke kitchens!
